El tiempo pasa para todos, también para las embarcaciones. Con el paso de los años, el tubular, uno de los componentes más importantes de la embarcación, se va deteriorando. Y lo mismo ocurre con el casco. 

Con un buen mantenimiento podemos alargar la vida de cualquier embarcación, más de lo que cualquiera podría imaginarse. Por ejemplo, un Flotador de Neopreno Hypalon, si está bien cuidado, puede alcanzar las dos décadas perfectamente. 

Aunque sabemos que, no siempre es posible para los navegantes dedicarle ese tiempo tan necesario al mantenimiento de su embarcación. Con esto no queremos decir que no se haga, sino que debe efectuarse siempre que se pueda o dejar que se encargue el taller náutico más cercano. La falta de conservación tiene como consecuencia el deterioro y acortamiento de la vida útil del barco.

Lo primero que se debe tener claro es el material con el que está fabricado nuestro flotador, PVC o Neopreno Hypalon. Dependiendo de este componente, se necesitarán unos productos u otros. No podemos utilizar pegamento o tejido PVC para un tubular de Neopreno Hypalon, o viceversa. 

Si lo que se va a hacer es un cambio de flotador, podrá elegirse el material deseado, siendo igual que el que ya tenía u otro diferente. Para ello, habrá que tener en consideración las ventajas y desventajas que supone un flotador de Neopreno Hypalon y un tubular de PVC.
