Hace poco tiempo os contamos los pasos a seguir para el cambio de flotador de neopreno y todas aquellas herramientas y pegamentos náuticos que se necesitan para ello. Esta vez, os traemos un nuevo artículo donde os vamos a contar cómo cambiar un flotador de PVC de una semirrígida ya que las herramientas y los pegamentos que necesitas son muy distintos a los de Neopreno.

La diferencia que tenemos que remarcar, es que la composición del tejido Neopreno y el tejido PVC no es el mismo. El Neopreno es un caucho y el PVC es un material plástico. De hecho, a la hora de hacer el nuevo flotador del barco, su confección es muy distinta. Esto se debe a que el material PVC es soldable con calor o alta frecuencia ya que es termofusible. Por otro lado, el neopreno es un tejido elástico y flexible y que se pega para la confección del flotador.

Es por esta razón por la que no podemos utilizar los mismos pegamentos ya que son tejidos muy especiales y por ello en Nauticol hemos creado y fabricado un adhesivo náutico específico para ellos.

Para el proceso de retubado del nuevo flotador (o del que tenía ya la embarcación) vamos a necesitar material fabricado para PVC. En este caso utilizaremos:

Lo primero que hacemos para conseguir un resultado óptimo es limpiar a conciencia el casco de la embarcación. De esta manera, eliminaremos el rastro de suciedad y restos del antiguo pegamento. Si no lo hacemos bien, el pegado del flotador al casco puede darnos muy malos resultados. ¿Cómo limpiarlo? Por ello utilizaremos herramientas como espátulas, lijas o en este caso y al ser un flotador de tejido PVC, el disolvente M.E.K.

Continuaremos el proceso colocando el flotador al casco de la embarcación. Antes de comenzar a realizar el pegado, debemos asegurarnos de que el tubular encaja perfectamente. Una vez hemos realizado este paso, lo dejamos bien encajado en el casco y procedemos al pegado del flotador. Para ello, utilizamos el pegamento Nauticol para PVC.

Por último, nuestro proceso termina con el pegado de tiras de PVC entre el flotador y el casco, tanto en la parte interior de la embarcación como en la exterior. De esta manera conseguimos un resultado compacto y nos aseguramos de que el tubular queda bien adherido al casco.
