1. ¿QUÉ ES EL PERFIL DEFENSA O CINTÓN?

El perfil defensa o cintón es un material que se utiliza para la protección de los la embarcación de golpes y roces. Los flotadores de la semirrígida quedan protegidos evitando el golpe directo y así se evita que se dañen.

Es importante que una defensa sea resistente a la humedad, abrasión, a los rayos UV y que sean fáciles de instalar. Hay una gran variedad de perfiles para la protección; para hacer una buena elección, es necesario conocer el tipo de embarcación ya que depende de las características de la misma y del gusto de la persona.

Defensa PVC N4

Este cintón lateral de PVC es perfecto para semirrígidas, zodiac, neumáticas y balsas de PVC, ya que le otorga a estas embarcaciones una gran protección. Es un material muy resistente y duradero evitando así roces y arañazos en los tubulares. La superficie es lisa, con un dibujo en semicírculo en la zona central que permite una mayor protección contra impactos. Es resistente tanto a aceites y a ambientes marinos además de los rayos ultravioleta.

Defensa PVC N6

Este nuevo modelo de defensa, también fabricado en PVC, se empleará para flotadores de embarcaciones semirrígidas de PVC o poliuretano. Resulta ser un material de fácil instalación y pegado, una característica importante a tener en cuenta. Al igual que en el anterior cintón, esta defensa resulta muy flexible y resistente tanto a aceites como a rayos UV.

Defensa PVC N2

Esta defensa fabricada en PVC es perfecta para este tipo de embarcaciones, desde semirrígidas a inflables. El ancho de esta defensa es de 15 cm y es muy resistente al envejecimiento. Podrás encontrarla en negro y gris en nuestra web.

2.3 Perfiles defensa Hypalon/goma

Perfil de Goma N1

Este modelo de perfil es de goma y se puede instalar en flotadores de Neopreno Hypalon o goma, embarcaciones neumáticas, semirrígidas, zodiac o inflables. Esta defensa dispone de una pestaña para el anclaje de lonas de fondeo o fundas. Podrás encontrarlo en color negro, gris claro y gris medio, y su ancho es de unos 90 mm.

Perfil de Goma N4

Otro perfil fabricado en goma que se puede pegar en este tipo de embarcaciones de neopreno es el siguiente modelo que aparece en la imagen. Es un material muy flexible y duradero ya que logra evitar roces y arañazos en los tubulares de las embarcaciones semirrígidas. También resiste a aceites y su ancho es de 115 mm.

Perfil de Goma N6

Y por último, esta defensa fabricada en goma está compuesta por una superficie lisa con un dibujo en semicírculo situado en la zona central que configura mayor protección y resistencia contra impactos, arañazos o roces quedando, por tanto, la semirrígida totalmente protegida. El ancho de este perfil es de 90 mm y los colores disponibles son en gris y negro.

3. INSTALACIÓN DEL PERFIL DEFENSA O CINTÓN

Los perfiles defensa, como comentamos anteriormente, son muy importantes y, por ello, debemos ir revisándoloS periódicamente. En el caso de encontrarlos dañados o en mal estado, es necesario reemplazarlos. Para un buen reemplazamiento, te dejamos los siguientes pasos:

Hay que retirar la defensa en mal estado y, tras esta, los restos de pegamento y suciedad que existan en los flotadores de la embarcación.
Hay que marcar las zonas en las que se pegará el nuevo perfil. Para ello, nos ayudaremos de cinta de carrocero para así ser más preciso. En esta misma zona habrá que lijar la superficie.
Ya lijada, limpiamos la zona con disolventes para dejarla libre de restos y suciedad.
Procedemos al pegado de la defensa utilizando la cola aplicada con un pincel y fijamos el perfil dejándolo secar.
