Un remolque náutico es un vehículo diseñado para remolcar barcos desde un lugar a otro. Por norma general, tienen características específicas para soportar el peso y el tamaño de la embarcación. Una de las cosas que debes tener en cuenta es que el peso que soporta no es solo el del propio barco sino también el de todos sus accesorios y la gasolina del depósito.

Este tipo de remolques están diseñados específicamente para transportar embarcaciones y por ello, estarán continuamente en contacto con el agua del mar. Es obligatorio que este tipo de vehículos de carga tengan tratamientos a prueba de corrosión para poder resistir su exposición al agua salada.

Es óptimo que limpies tu embarcación cada vez que la utilices. No solo te centres en quitar la suciedad que pueda tener sino un elemento que siempre estará ahí: el agua salada. Aunque parezca imposible que haya corrosión en tu remolque puede originarse a lo largo del tiempo. Por eso, te recomendamos que siempre que lo utilices lo enjuagues con agua dulce. De esta manera el deterioro por corrosión será mínimo.

Además de su limpieza, lo primero que debes tener en cuenta es que debes revisarlo de manera periódica y no solo el estado general del remolque, sino todos los accesorios.

Ver si los rodillos se mueven sin oposición, si no hay rodillos rotos, que la cincha se esté despeluchando, etc. De hecho te recomendamos que a todas las partes móviles y ejes les apliques lubricante para evitar la oxidación y su desgaste.

Antes de salir con tu embarcación hacia un nuevo destino debes revisar la presión de los neumáticos y que los frenos estén en óptimas condiciones. De esta manera te ahorrarás sorpresas durante tu viaje.

Una de las cosas más comunes es que se nos olvide probar si los pilotos del remolque funcionan correctamente. Por ello, es mejor pecar de ser precavido y revisarlos antes de cada salida. Dependiendo del tipo de luces que tengas podrán ser sumergibles pero eso no significa que sean indestructibles. ¿Y si te confías y no funcionan las luces del remolque? Tendrás un accidente y con pésimas consecuencias. Por eso, ¡siempre revísalos!

Para terminar te recomendamos que si no vas a utilizar tu remolque lo guardes en un lugar seco y cubierto para protegerlo de los elementos. De esta manera conseguirás que el óxido y la corrosión tarden mucho más tiempo en aparecer.
